I am probably just being a paranoid Daddy but my 15 week old lab seems to “shuffle” her feet slightly when she walks slowly. She runs and trots and jumps fine but she seems to have a slightly lazy shuffle at times that we notice mostly on the tile. Anyone else ever see such a thing? Not the top of her feet, just the pads occasionally sliding on the carpet or tile. Vet had checked her out at 8 weeks and said her hips were good. Not a major concern but as I said, I am a paranoid puppy daddy. Thoughts?

Its most likely the tile floor , she may feel a little vulnerable if she cant get a good grip . Is she the same outside or just in the house ?

I hadn’t noticed it and my wife pointed it out. She does it a tiny amount on the carpet. You can hear it more than see it. We have a ton of snow so I can’t say if she does it outside.

I asked because my late boy Sam hated uneven or slippery surfaces and he tended to slough his feet when on them . If you are worried , have a chat with your Vet, just to put your mind at rest .

She has an appointment in a couple of weeks. I will mention it then. It is good to know others have seen this and it wasn’t a big deal. I’ll make sure I post a follow up for anyone that may follow this in the future. I am a paranoid pet parent for sure.
