I'm thinking of changing my 8mth old pups food. I've been having a bit of a look at Ziwipeak. But I don't think it has specific food for large breed puppies. I think it doesn't have many ingredients and a high protein content. So what do large breed puppies need to grow well?

I think Ziwipeak is likely to bankrupt you.
What are you using just now? Are you otherwise happy with it?

Why? IS your pup not thriving? Does he/she have poor coat, stool, energy?

My pup was fine but I read a lot about feeding different foods, for different reasons, so I kept the food the breeder used and added two new ones in so we could rotate. I kept protein, fat and kcal/cup amounts as close as possible to my original food since it worked fine. There is not a large variety of foods available here so my choices were easy. My reason was to avoid buildup of toxins associated with the production of the main protein and main carb in the food, like pesticides, antibiotics etc. I picked two new foods with different main protein and main carb. Worked well. I did have to feed a bit more of the grain free food as it was bit lower in kcal/cup. This might be something to consider. Actually, I did not do this till Oban was two years old.
