Out walking a farm track and a poult comes trotting out of the crop right in front of us. Lady puts her nose against the bird which freezes. I call out "leave it" followed by "close", and she just wags her tail and both leaves it and returns to me. Probably a one-off. ;D
Re: She occasionally makes me very pleased with her! Brilliant! I had an equally fab result yesterday evening - a deer stepped over the path just about 30 paces in front of us. Poppy made a bound towards it, I called 'leave it' and 'come' - and she did!!!! YAY!!! (Chasing deer is an absolute no-no here). Of course, she then leapt straight into a filthy ditch to celebrate... but hey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
