Don’t know where this post lies really - could be behaviour or training. This post is an observation. Red who is 14 months has been decrated just recently. As she always went in her crate in the kitchen automatically whilst we ate our meals nearby, I decided to leave the vet bed that was in it, in the same spot. She just goes to this as we were preparing our meal and stays on it whilst we eat.

Yesterday we had friends round for lunch. I decided to move the vet bedding to the dining room. I was so pleased when she automatically lay down on it when we went in there to eat. Whenever she has done the desired behaviour I have said quietly ‘Good girl Red’. I haven’t trained this as such. Our visitors who are dog people were amazed at her and I could see that by the end of their visit, two more people have fallen in love with her.

How lovely, such a good girl.

Cassie remains convinced that all visitors have come for her to climb on their laps and that it's only polite to share the sofa with them :)

Yep, Caspar too. As the world revolves around him it is only logical that he should show off as much as possible to any visitors. I'm not sure how we will get on next week when we take him to spend a weekend with family.
