I cleaned out the toybox and put out some old toys. Rory's has a fun after noon playing with puppy toys and ripping their legs off. he's all tired and cuddly now.
Amber had a great day yesterday bringing laundry to me one piece after another. Sigh. I'm thinking of just training her to put it in the washing machine.
Alfie managed to drink out of an animal drinking trough today on our walk. The trough looked to be a trough fed by water in one corner so not a stagnate one. As soon as I saw him I called him away but now I am very concerned about him. He ate his post walk treat, kong mixture left overs and a piece of sausage but didn't eat all his tea :s. Has anyone else's dog done this? Could he just be too full to finish his tea?
I got that speak out game for Christmas. I've really wanted to play it but had no one to play with (my OH is a bit of a miserabella). It's frustrating because I know me and Stanley would have so much fun playing it but he can't bloody talk
If it was just water, unless he drunk lots and lots, much more than normal, I wouldn't worry about it much . Monty has drunk from all sorts of dodgy puddles and troughs. . Is it the fact that he didnt eat all his tea? If he has no other symptoms and his tummy feels ok, not bloated or distended, the fact he didn't finish one meal wouldn't stress me unduly. But if it continues tomorrow, then a call to the vet would be in order.
That game is bloody horrible, we had to play it last Christmas. Anything that involves you putting something in your mouth that feels like you are at the dentist gets a thumbs down from me. Sorry , you may find more cheery people than me to play it with.
Thank you He has eaten a bit today (took a little persuasion) and his pooh is fine but he does seem very tired. I think we will have a quiet day today where he can have a lot of sleep then if he isn't back to his bouncy self tomorrow we ll go and see the vet .
Oh goodness, I'm a little bit nervous. An actual cyclone is due to hit NZ tomorrow evening. I live at the very bottom of the North Island, just off the eye of the bloody thing. It's only going to be a fraction as strong as it was when it hit the islands last week, but civil defence is already warning about power cuts and to have enough food and water stored for 3 days. I've got 45L of drinking water stored, which is playing it tight I think. Pets have enough food. Might have to grab some tinned spaghetti, bread, and fruit in case first thing tomorrow. I'm just hoping that the house doesn't flood *crosses everything*
