I took a day off work for Quinn's 2nd birthday in December :D (I also took an entire week off when she was spayed!)

Nathan's supposed to be asleep. I went to check on him and found this (apologies for the bad photo - it's dark)

They are having a very important get together. I am sure they are discussing and planning their weekend...

Ha! I'll have to get up with puppy at night/early morning, do all the training, pay for all dog things, organize dog walkers, worry obsessively, vacuum/clean after the dog..........he will play with the puppy and complain about how crazy I am about the puppy. Still looking!?? haha

My OH brought me my old lab Robbie for our wedding anniversary. He was the best present ever.

Oh gosh, this would be my worst nightmare. OK, maybe that's a little over-dramatic but for me I need to do all the researching and organising! If J sprung a puppy on me I'd be horrified!

You could always go with him like I did. We still get all our dogs from this breeder.

Oh, I'd be more than happy for him to pay, don't get me wrong, but finding the breeder and the litter has to be my job :D

I need to be completely organized and do the research. I would also want time off work, people in place to help us etc etc. I would be mad, but obviously a puppy.......would be staying ;) Also, he wants a boy and I want another girl so that's a problem if he's making rogue decisions!

It's dangerous when the blokes go self aware and start making decisions. :shake:

Just spent a lovely lunch in the pub with Monty and OH, we're on a lazy birthday weekend off so lunchtime weekday drinking is allowed :):drink:
Monty gets a new harness each year, he has no collars and last harness is pushing 10 months old with almost everyday wear.
I said that I noticed that Mabel @Pilatelover had a great harness with a handle that could be useful when we just wanted to hold Monty still on a walk butnot put his lead on. Yes, OH said... I think denim would be a good colour. ..
Shopping for harnesses this afternoon then.. endorsed by OH now he's suggested a colour scheme.

Also, am feeling pleased that we are making progress on settling down in the pub. Monts always gets there, but it needs some effort especially if we are eating. Today, with four dogs in a very small pub, Monty was lying down and generally relaxing once we had finished our food. This may not seem like a big achievement, but he's always been hyper excited in the pub with many dogs and food everywhere, so this feels like some progress.
It's such a trial, having to visit the pub on the weekends in the name of dog training

Mmm I didn't reply to your post yesterday about going to crufts on mother's day. Next time we meet up remind me to tell you about when we took my mum to the Eden project..... I'm surprised she wasn't banned from there.
Are there any bargains to be had at crufts? Taking into account the entry price, parking, etc, it could be a pricey day... are you going? I'm actually only working in our offices down the road at chelmsley wood at the end of next week.
