Practically all my life i’ve had a dog. Living without a dog is unimaginable. Speaking honestly, I could have problems with anxiety and depression without a dog to love and take of. We have had three English Cockers and one Cavalier King Charles spaniel. This summer we’ll be bringing home our first Lab. I’m excited to have a Lab, because at this stage in my life there’s plenty of time for the interaction needed with a highly intelligent, active dog. I’m a painter working from home. My husband and I are stay-at-home types. This probably sounds odd, but our marriage is better when we have a dog. Probably due to the fact that we’re happier, more contented people , sharing our home with a dog. I’m pretty much overjoyed to have discovered this site and the forum. I have a lot to learn about being a Lab person !

Hi and welcome from me and 4 year old girl, Harley. She’s my first ever dog and I can’t imagine life without her. I highly recommend you read the Labrador handbook as it gives you an honest view of what to expect. Labs are very different to a lot of other breeds and some people find them a bit bitey and hyper. Look forward to getting to know you all.

This is a great place to learn about Labs and dogs in general! Xena's my first dog - I think that choosing a lab was a little like jumping from the frying pan into the fire. We had NO idea what we were getting ourselves into :D

Hi and a big welcome from Maxx and I in Sydney, Australia. I couldn't agree more about the joy of owning a dog. Our first dog, also a lab, died 7 years ago and I can't believe we waited this long to get another. Maxx is 18 weeks old tomorrow and a huge handful but we just love him. We are stay-at-home types as well and whilst I have to travel into the city to work I can't wait to get home to a puppy who can't contain his delight at Mum being back home again

Hello and welcome from me, Wispa (6) and Tuppence (4). I've had dogs in the family all my life, but only found labs in more recent years. All dogs are great - but labs are a bit special - and challenging at times!
