So I'm working from home today and went out on the back porch and sat down on the step. Maxx came and sat right next to me and leaned against me in that lovely Labrador way. We sat there for ages just chilling in the sun while I gently scratched his chest and I thought about another time...just after Christmas....sitting in the same spot at 4.00am in utter despair with bleeding hands, torn clothes, chewed plants and outdoor furniture. 'What have we done' I wailed.

So anyone going through the puppy blues, please hang in there. There is a lovely, calm best friend just waiting to get out :)

Yes this is so true. I had the worst puppy blues - a year on I have the most beautiful friend imaginable :).

    Mines not calm either.

But I've got the funniest, silliest, craziest best friend and I wouldn't swap him for a calm one in a million years. :)

And the next minute I was chasing him around the house and yard yelling 'drop.it.soon.to.be.ex.fur.child!' as he had snuck in and nicked the tea towel YET AGAIN:facepalm:
