I had the same issue for a couple of weeks. We are a bit lucky that we are not far from the beach where we live in Scotland, so as soon as we were able to take him out for a walk, we would drive 10 mins to the beach and do the walks there. 5 months now and I still take him there twice a week, awesome walk. Point being though, once we got to the beach we were away from the house and the comfort zone. After doing this 2 or 3 times, it was no longer an issue leaving the house for a normal walk.
Our 17 + week choccie is now going easily for walks as much as 1/4 mile away, and then back. They get into it soon enough.
