Harley does this to me. Today at class she was getting a bit over the top excited so once she calmed I stroked her and she gave me a quick, painless nibble on my arm. Normally my ears are the target. Considering that she is getting SO much better about mouthing hands and feet I don't know if this even falls into the same category. It was very sweet, when I googled this and came across other breed forums like great danes etc everyone gets so excited when their dogs mouth or nibble because it is not a standard like it is on our side Does anyone else get de-fleaed? I am also not sure if I am supposed to be insulted? Maybe she thinks I have fleas? She most certainly doesn't and neither do her cat brothers. So it is very rarely that she itches herself.
I laughed so hard now! Okay, I am glad I am not the only one being cleaned by my dog. She doesn't do it to DH but he doesn't like her licking him at all, so I think she keeps it all for me.
I've been de-flea'd many times but I am a flea bag it's tickly and makes me giggle. Doug would do it and Rory does. It feels like affection to me. He did it to a friend and she laughed her self silly. It happens when he's excited but trying to inhibit his bite. He tries so hard you can see him hold himself in but he just can't do it so he does a miniature tiny teeth nibble. It does make me squeal.
I don't call it anything because it makes me laugh so much and Rory knows it. He thinks it's nearly as funny as biting me on the nip
