Bedtime Routine Does Not Go to Plan

Lady goes out for a bedtime wee at around 10:30 every night. I go with her down the garden with a torch to make sure she gets on with it. Habitually she has a drink out of the pond before weeing which is a bit testing in driving rain to say the least.

Last night when having her drink she FELL IN!!!

Yes she heaved herself out, shook then seemed pretend nothing had happened by resuming the interrupted drink. An absolute hoot.

I love how they master the 'what?' attitude after doing something silly or clumsy, as though it didn't actually happen

 

WhenAmber does things like that she looks at me as if to say " I meant to do that".

Well, I have fallen into a pond and it isn't funny, tell her I feel for her

One good shake seemed to sort the problem out Can't say the same about wet clothing

 

Are you sure she FELL in. If it was one of our dogs she would have JUMPED in. You can't keep a good Lab dry.
