What colour labrador/s do you have?

From the work hard, play hard thread I noticed a number of the dark shaded labs in the photos So for fun I thought a poll would be nice. I am sure there is something similar in the archives but I would be interested in a current snapshot. I am very aware that we have many other breeds on the forum too, so the most like the colour of your dog is the question here. I have tried to include all the colours and shades that I know, please suggest more if there are.

 

Yellow...pale, almost white colour except on his paws and part of his tail where it is a darker yellow. Very similar to your handsome fella

 

I’d add “white (yellow)” to your options since you have other granular options. Seems it was quite the fashion to have a white lab (also white Goldens). I have one. Wasn’t an intended fashion statement, I just thought his dad was beautiful. I do, now, prefer the traditional ginger yellow lab.

 

Yellow, with lovely straw/mushroom tones around the head and shoulders with a lighter yellow body. I LOVE her colouring, there are so many shades of yellow.

 

Ella is a dark chocolate with dark eyes. I think she's beautiful and I'm not at all biased

Just had to put Coco's vote on - he is half lab after all. I ticked "more than one colour" - Black & brindle.

Yes Stanley has started to get a few grey hairs - same as me!

They’re on his body for now - I hope we don’t get a grey muzzle for a few years yet

I know that a red lab is technically a yellow lab, but I see SO many red labs on Instagram that are "red labs" but are much more pale than Aspen, and he's a yellow. He has become a lot more golden red/golden/yellow since he was a puppy. A lot of people ask us if he is half yellow lab and half golden retriever and tell us he has unique coloring. I of course am biased and think he is a perfect looking yellow lab He just has very red ears.

Yahay! My first photo worked. Here is Maxx with his colouring

 

Ours are both Chocolate, as was our previous girl. Tilly is very dark Chocolate, and now she has Silver Grey highlights on her muzzle and feet . Cooper is a more traditional Chocolate color, but one of the really tall field dogs.

Incidentally I believe that "Silver" labs are a version of Chocolate, not Yellow.

 

Our Loki who is getting redder by the day. Was pale yellow at 4 weeks x
