Hi everyone long time since I added anything but I’d like to know is this all labs or just Riley (nearly 2.5 years old now) she likes nothing better than licking hands, arms, ears, or face if she gets a chance. The grandchildren say she is just a tongue with a dog attached. She sits on my knee still, and always try’s to like my hands and even up my arms if I was to let her. She licks anyone she’s not fussy. We try to discourage this but she is so persistent and even looks sad when we don’t let her. I know she must be able to detect what ever we’ve been touching and we do wash ourselves, occasionally, honest we do. What is everyone else experience of this behaviour. Or is it just Riley!?

Coco likes to lick OH's feet (yuck!) and OH allows it, but he's not a real determined licker like Riley. Belle used to love to lick OH dry when he got out of the bath (again - yuck), she was fanatical about it, but was able to ignore me (I do NOT like being licked!)

Harley likes to lick faces of people she really likes :doug: as some people on here have been a victim to her persistence in getting a few licks in. She rarely licks hands or arms.

Rex is a licker too. Mostly me. Zeke doesn't at all. And the look Rex gives you when you say stop! Doesn't bother me as much any more. And it doesn't matter clean or dirty. How about lotion? Lotioned legs, feet and hands.... Yum!

When we have non dog company and I am cooking I make sure to draw attention to the washing of my hands and arms and face and the wiping of table and counters. LOL.

Yep, I'm trying to break my boy of the licking because I have hopes that he can do some therapy dog work and I'm guessing they won't tolerate it!

Huck is a licker. I hope I can get it stopped soon.

Vanilla is a huge licker. OH does not like it, but then feels jealous when I get the attention.
Luckily it is only us and a couple of close friends who knew her from day 1.
