Well never thought i would say this but my house is too quiet. Penny is recovering in vets after speying op. I should be relishing this few hrs of peace but i have been so occupied with my whilring dervish never giving me a minute that its very strange without her. She will be back to me in an hour when she is less sleepy and no doubt she will soon enough be back to driving me nuts. Just goes to show what a major part of our family she has become.:heart:

I know what you mean. I feel exactly the same when Mrs Snowy has taken the boy somewhere and I'm at left at home.

The place feels strangely empty. There's nobody coming to nudge my hand with a wet nose. I can move around without a black shadow. And the place no longer smells like we've got Chemical Ali staying with us. It's strangely peaceful but it just feels so "empty".

Hope she's ok and recovers quickly. I don't like that echoy emptiness either. Life is more fun with a dog.

Shaky whinny and of course Moo s old favourite barking. She sounds like a werewolf ,hopefully Penny will just sleep and wimper a bit and not start the call of the wild . It's the anaesthetic it takes a while to leave their bodies keep her warm and quiet. Xx

Bailey has been spayed today, she’s 7 months old. Since getting home she has understandably been whining a lot but she has spent most of her time in the garden. She’s in for a minute then wants to go out, in, out etc. Doesn’t seems to know what she wants bless her. She slept on my lap for a couple of hours then back to the in, out routine. It could be a long night.....

Hope she feels better. Penny only lay down the day of the operation. From next day back to normal. She hasn't stopped galloping about and i feared she would damage herself but got all clear at vets. Its hard to keep them calm :pull:

She slept surprisingly well although she had quite unsettled hour before bed. Today she’s much more herself thank goodness but yes it’s a job to keep her calm and take her only for short, lead walks. Looking forward to getting back to normal. Love my girl, the house just wasn’t the same without her.
