Word of warning: keep your face away from the anal glands! When Snowie’s were problematic and I was gently massaging the area, one gland suddenly squirted its contents into my hair. The STINK!!!!!!! Had to scrub my hair clean. I would not attempt to squeeze the glands. If you don’t know what you’re doing, you can cause soft tissue damage. Apparently groomers like to empty the glands, and those that don’t know what they’re doing have caused worse problems for the dogs. Pongo should be emptying them himself when he poos.
