So I have to say a HUGE thank you to Kate and Marcus @Beanwood for looking after the little lady for a couple of weeks before my trip and then driving her halfway through France so I didn't have to go back all the way to the UK to collect her the same weekend I was flying to Canada! A sixteen-hour round trip was long enough the day before I flew, but it would have been more than twice that without their amazing kindness. Total superstars, the pair of them! It's so lovely to have her back where she belongs - she adores it here and we feel the same about having her here. It's not always going to be easy, but it's definitely the best thing for her. We have a special bond, this funny girl and me. Now, we need a new name for her. We don't like "Conchita", so we're after suggestions. We've not found the right one yet! Submit your suggestions here
I'm sorry that it didn't work out for her with your sister, but she fits in beautifully with your pack You know, I like Chi. Not Conchita, just Chi. She'd also make a fabulous Nina (the name Nina, not the spanish word - small? - with the squiggly bit).
According to some quick research, Conchita originally meant 'seashell' so I will suggest Cece/Cici as it's not to far from the sound of Chi or Chi Chi (if you were pronouncing "chee"). Or Lola...she just looks Lola-esque and you could call her Loli which is cute and then not so close to Luna.
Both you and Chi (pending name change) both back home. I know someone named Conchita who goes by "Concha". I'm not so wild about that either, but just thought I'd mention it. Maybe there's some cool Catalan name you like as she is a Catalonian lady?
Sorry I have been away have I missed something? I thought Conchita live with your sister. I like Connie too.
Constance perhaps. Could be Connie? Although I do quite like the seriousness of Constance for a good good dog. All the best with her, and love to her, whatever name you choose.
Dobby! What was the name of the female house elf, she was...what's his name...Barty Crouch's elf? Had to google, WINKY. She would be a perfect Winky, and all the Potter heads would hopefully get it
Winky has other conitations in some parts of the world though. I not sure I would want to shout it out loud were I live. I do know a Binky though a black mini bull terrier she's a delight. I would he tempted to keep Chi as a reminder of her victory over her early life. For some reason I quite like Gloria too.
