I'm sorry to hear that Moo's a bit (very) leaky, @SwampDonkey, it's a lot to cope with.

Saw Stanleys dog walker down the river today. He walked off with her and wouldn’t come back to me.

    That dog has zero loyalty.

I know we have a few podcast fans on the forum and wasn’t sure where else to put this.

Does anyone listen to Casefile True Crime? The East Area Rapist has been caught and I can’t stop following it’s developments o_O

No but I'm really keen on getting on the podcast bandwagon. Is this a good place to start?

Someone knocked at the door. Nathan ran to the door and barked. My parenting is complete.

It probably depends if you like crime things - I’m crime obsessed so I loved this series.

It freaks OH out. He panicked this week when he realised I was watching a tv show called “how to get away with murder” but then realised it was just a series and I wasn’t getting tips :D

I often watch the crime shows so this might be a good one for me :D

Yes! I’ve been listening to all the podcast updates (generation why is one) and it’s all over the news here. Also, the killers of Ashley freeman and Laura bible were caught...thats another crazy one!

We went out with Coco yesterday and had a bite to eat, sitting on the prom. He barked at the first dog we saw, a BC, waiting for the bridge over the harbour to open :(. He ignored 2 greyhounds who had a bit of a snarly bark once they'd passed us :). We saw dogs-at-a-distance and he didn't react :). He greeted a friendly BC - he barked at it only when it left . Then a man and his young daughter arrived on bicycles. She was getting off her bike and she asked if she could say hello. I said yes, just be careful he might get excited...he did get a bit excited, but he didn't jump, he relished in her petting him. Turns out they were looking to get a dog. Dad wanted a German Shepherd, but he was being pushed towards a Dalmation by the rest if the family. The little girl now wants a dog like Coco. He was a good boy :).

Oooh, ooh, try Serial. That's the BEST! A bit slow at the start but it had me shouting at the radio
Others love S-Town, which I thought was OK, but for me, nowhere near as good as Serial.

I didn't get on with Casefile. I can't remember why, maybe I should try again.

I didn't stick with Casefile either. Maybe non-Antipodeans can't tell, but the host's voice is super bogan and I just couldn't take it seriously. That wasn't the only reason, but was a big contributor to my decision. I am a massive hypocrite, though, because I love All Killa No Filla, especially Rachel Fairburn's very Manchester accent :D

Some of the ones on casefile are a bit basic and you’re rolling your eyes.

But some of them are traumatising! And especially when they’re ones you sort of know about! Like the moors murders for me or holly and Jessica.

    My favourites have been:

    Roger Dean
    Katherine knight
    Moors murders
    East area rapist
    Jennifer Pan
    Amy Bradley
    Beth Barnard

    Truly chilling stuff o_O

I have precisely zero idea what this means

I remember not liking the host's voice or manner or something like that. "Bogan", though, I couldn't say. :D

I honestly think that Serial season 1 is the best place to start - there's a good reason why it took the podcast world by storm. Might have to start a podcast thread in off topic ;)

I listened to the Holly & Jessica one and it was certainly a bit more interesting knowing a bit of the case, but I still found it a bit slow - it's not like we didn't know the outcome already. I always hated Columbo for that reason. We know who the murderer is, why do we have to drag it out? :D

I though Serial was OK. It was kind of like making a murderer if you’ve seen that.

I struggled to get into both of those because I just thought they were guilty and couldn’t get past it. I might have to try and give it another listen.

There are a ton of casefile episodes so a lot of people can’t stick with it, and some episodes are just boring. I have no idea what the difference between a bogan accent or non bogan and to us North Americans, it all sounds good
