Ok, so my little girl (7 months) got spayed yesterday. Just wanted to share my story for anyone else going through it. She came home extremely spaced out. She would just stand there and look out into space. It was amusing almost. Overnight she did go out to pee, but was still pretty much out of it. Didn't each much, only drank a little. My wife was freaking out. In the morning though she was hungry, ate good, drank well, and I had to give her the sedatives they gave me so she didn't jump around too much. (She is a high energy puppy so they gave me some medicine to help keep her calm). She wants to get up on the couch and I had to keep her away from the furniture to keep her from trying to do too much. She has the "cone of shame", which my wife hates but she tolerates ok. She bounces off walls and doorways, but isn't fighting it. We are only on day 1 post surgery, but so far fingers crossed things are ok. Keeping her calm for almost 2 weeks will be so much fun.
