This'll be too late for your class, but there are some great recipes in the recipe section. I found a link to a peanut butter and parsley bikkie there, and Xena really liked them. I haven't made them again because I'm too lazy, but there was no meat or fish involved and it gave an easy to work with dough.
I just caught Nathan and Ella, outside by Ella's food bin. Nathan had taken off the lid and was hand feeding her, one piece of kibble at a time
Do you (or your family) have a jingle about your dog/s? Cos my OH has one about Xena, and he's sung it ever since she was a wee pup. "Xeeeeenus, the meanest dog without a peeeeenis" .... He sings it several times a day. Yeah, I'm confused too.
Too many to possibly post here! The faves are: Rihanna "under my umbrella, Ella, Ella, eh eh eh" A modification of Eminem "I think my dog's gone craa-zy" A modification of Blink 182s dumpweed "She's a dog, she's a f****** nightmare Unpredictable, it was my mistake to stay here On the go and it's way too late to play I need a dog that I can train" And also, the simple "she's a maniac, maniac, she's my Ella" (Michael Sembello - Maniac)
I think it's one of the few times a year that our weather is the same. Mid 20's and sunny? Perfect weather
Nope hate it staying in the house. Awaiting for one side of the garden to deep shade so I can go out and do some gardening.
Out with Molly and my OH today, we saw an ice-cream van and on a whim I bought Molly a cone along with ours. She’s never had ice-cream (or anything that contains sugar) before. Well she gave it one tentative lick and gave me a really reproachful look - ‘what are you feeding me?’ And refused the rest!
Hah! I've just seen the forecast for tomorrow, bank holiday Monday - the whole of the NW of England gets 20-24C The Isle of Man, not so far away, gets 11C. I am grateful for the 15 degrees we have today, it dried the HEAVY dew (fog) off the grass and we were able to mow it this afternoon.
Really? It’s been 24C here today and yesterday. I’ve been solidly sunbathing Poor Stanners isn’t enjoying it quite as much but he’s enjoying playing with the hosepipe and getting ice cream
We don't have squirrels here, but surely one of you could do this in your garden, and then post the video for giggles? The caption doesn't share on here, but apparently the pole was "oiled" https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=4799296816760006
This really has been a terrible week for you I'm so sorry. It took us 7 years to get over our last lab (he was my first ever dog) but Maxx is bringing so much joy to us now we know we have done the right thing. We don't have children so the dog really is our 'child'. I hope Rory sparks up soon and things start going better for you @SwampDonkey
Starting to get cool in the mornings and evenings...brrrr. Maxx got us up super early on Saturday so the three of us sat out on our upstairs verandah and watched the sunrise and listened to the kookaburra's waking the other birds up. It was only 7 degrees! Got to 26 during the day so it's a bit extreme at the moment (unusual for Australia huh?) Maxx is totally fascinated by birds, especially kookas. He stood and stared out through the railings in the direction of the cackling with his tail straight out behind him. He does that anytime he hears a loud bird noise. So cute
