Fire is on as the temp only made it to 11c round ours. City temp supposed to get to 16c. Vanilla is full of energy as she is a winter baby...
It’s so funny how we all consider the weather differently. It’s 8c here this morning, but sunny. And I class this a lovely morning walk with Stanners! It’s msking me consider Australia might be the place for me though..
Yep weather is always a funny topic. I love a cold crisp morming or a cool evening walk but also love the warm morning/evening walks and swims It is more the fact houses always are built towards the major climate of the year, which then always means you feel the lesser one So when you moving @JenBainbridge?
Maxx is doing circuits around the yard (he is LOVING the cooler weather) in anticipation of meeting Stanley. So yes, when are you moving?
I sowed Rory's bed back together he went crazy. So funny.he couldn't work it out. There was a lot of squeaking frustration rolling about and hurt stares. Then he flounced off to the kitchen to cool down in the tiles. He is just so ridiculous. He went and joined my friends daughter for her pic nic he nicked sandwiches and she gave him skips. She said he was a right narnar and he didn't get his usual kiss.he just makes me smile.
Today I have rescued (but nearly stole)2 lab pups. One was lost and was panicking a bit but I took him back to his dad who was also a bit upset. He was a lovely little thing (the puppy) just at that silly stage but he was on his way back to the car park so I looked after him.then I found another one in the bushes he was a bit older and a lot sillier so I had to find his owner too. They were both lovely the puppies obviously
Joy and I met the sweetest funniest Springer puppy today, twelve weeks old, one of her first walks. We were up on the moor and Joy was swimming for her ball in the pool, then running round like mad with the ball in her mouth. Springer's owner was admiring Joy's swimming and wondering when her puppy would start. I said she was probably a bit too young and we carried on chatting as puppy chased Joy. Joy dropped her ball at my feet and without thinking I threw it back into the pool. Joy launched herself after the ball, puppy launched herself after Joy and suddenly found herself swimming! She looked more than a little surprised and managed to turn herself round and get back to her owner. She was fine, just went all upside-down gorgeous wriggly wet puppy. She was more careful around the water after that though. A good day for puppies it seems!
Keir came to Pilates with me today. At one point he took up exactly the same pose as us (On our backs arms and legs outstretched upwards) it was so funny, we all cracked up laughing. He was looking straight at me and smiling, I wish I could have got a photo!
Today’s troublesome twosome (Basil is also part of the reason why a Bodeguero terrifies me because he’s hard enough work )
This absolute nutter has now gone home! It’s always a pleasure having him for the day - the differences between terriers and Labradors are mental! But I do love the feistyness of a little terrier. When I said this to OH & Basil’s dad I was told I appreciate it because if I was a dog, I would definitely be a terrier
Terriers are great ! I've known some real characters over the years, I just love how they punch above their weight1 Me though, I'm Labrador through and through, eat everything you can, enjoy a burst of energy and plenty of fun with friends -- but when push comes to shove you can't beat an afternoon of comfort by the fire in winter or in the warmth of summer sun !
Me neither! But might it be fun to try?! Oh dear! That could be the extra glass of wine Joy forced me into talking! That's a ludicrous number of exclamation marks for one post, so no more now!!!!
We went for an off lead walk today and met such a lovely kelpie x lab. He was 2 yrs old with the body of a lab and the head of a kelpie but a lab type coat that was the colour of a Vizsla. His name was Kevin and he and Ella played so beautifully together. It was really happy, bouncy play. They were both so polite and at no point did it become boisterous or over the top (that's quite rare for Ella ) . Then, we started walking and they just trotted along together, side by side. I hope we see Kevin again
