Hi I have 10 month Mason choc lab and whenever I stop to chat to people he jumps up and sinks his teeth in my arm I have few nasty bruises. It does hurt, what can I do apart from not talk

Oh Yes! That sounds very familiar! My little Joy did this when on lead, although not when off, if there were other dogs to play with. If it wasn't me, it was her lead that she chewed and we've got through I think 5 since we've had her. I used to ask her to sit and give treats, but I think she was such a baby and got so bored, so I would limit those conversations and suggest that the other person and I caught up later. Recently I've started noticing that I can spend longer and longer talking to people with her on lead and she's fine. I think for Joy it's just been a question of growing up a bit (coming up for 13 months now). Hopefully Mason will also be fine soon.
