I don’t think the flowers (RIP) agree with you. I will also apologise in advance for all the times I laughed at the term crocopup and thought it’s a puppy! How bad can it be? Turns out the laugh was so on me
I’ve had a very busy day today. I’ve chewed lots of things (including having a manic moment when mum put fleecy pyjamas on... she’s not wearing them anymore as apparently it’s not nice to chomp on them when they are attached to her - although the screeching noise she made was fun) I’ve done NO poos in the house and had lots of wees outside (a couple inside but that was totally mums fault because she dared to go to make a coffee and take her eyes off me! Silly woman). I’ve eaten all my food and have figured out that if I sit next to dads feet he gets the treat bag out! Result! Oh and I’ve already stolen a slipper which mum gave me as she said I was too cute to take it off me. These people are a doddle to manipulate, I just have to look cute which I do very very easily!!! So tired now though and have been asleep for an hour which mum says means she’s in for a long night!!!
It’s 12:30am. He is howling like a banshee. I’m sitting in the same room as him, but ignoring him. I know he has to learn it’s bedtime, and I’m reassuring him when he’s quiet and he’s been to the toilet/eaten/played etc. But it’s SO loud. First night is the worst night though. He will sleep tomorrow right? RIGHT? I’ve only got to last till 3am then it’s hubbys turn
Result! He slept till 5 where he went a massive wee and poo outside! I will take that for the first night!
I think I've blocked out Xena's first few nights. She was in the crate in our bedroom for the first week and all I remember was the crying (from both of us). You'll settle into a rhythm but it's a bit like a baby - the first few nights are generally a fiasco. He's suuuuper cute, though, and I love the way you tuck him in
He has a snuggle pet which I totally bawlked at the price of but OMG so worth it. It has a heartbeat and it is literally the only thing he hasn’t chewed and he just shuffles really close to it and falls asleep with his head on it. I made sure to give his mum a decent rub over with it when we collected him and it seems to have massively helped.
I was counting the howls last night, 4 Barks, then whimpering and then the howling. Over and over again. Literally heartbreaking ignoring him but he has to know it’s bedtime otherwise no one can function..... we can’t all have a nap to catch up
Oh I know, I was more feeling guilty that he was crying than anything else! Glad to report he’s had a nap this morning in the crate with no whining at all! Whoop!
What’s that yellow thing? Can I eat it? He has been BRILLIANT today so far (ok it’s only 9am - but we have been up since 5 lol) no accidents in house and 2 poos and 3 wees outside! Been really receptive to training this morning. my only concern is that he is allocated such a small amount of food (150g per day) in order to keep him busy (aka not eating me) we are going through it at an alarming rate.. I don’t want to go over his allowance or should it not matter in these very very early days? I need a fat free alternative that’s yummy and that won’t make him fat and/or upset his tummy!
Roasted chicken will be fattier and therefore not as good for him. Having said that he will likely looooove it so I would keep that for your jackpots or really high value stuff. Chucking a chicken breast in a pan of boiling water for 15-20 minutes will give you a med-high level treat that's very healthy. As with any new food, introduce it slowly and see how his system copes with it.
Hi, you seem very organised and I’m not sure where you are from but choose puppy treats that you think will be ok and I’m sure they will be enjoyed and will help with training. Pooh bags
