That's very sad news. I'm sure you'll give him the best life, though, and he'll carry on as usual, unaware of the possible limitations.

The vet said I needed to take him to University of MN Vet college to have tests done I just don't have that kind of money it could run into the thousands. We just had a barn fire and need to replace all that I just can not swing it. So no I don't know what caused it but I am putting him on holistic meds to see if that helps him.

Thank you all yes it was quite the blow. I look at his sweet face and wonder how long we have together. With Valkyrie and his heart and my boxer Redemption and his kidney failure I have 2 beautiful dogs that probably wont live long lives and that makes me sad.

 I am so sad for you x I know the profound sorrow of losing a young dog , its simply awful . I hope that you can find the strength to cope , and that your two dogs can have some quality time with you , quality over quantity every time xx

I am so sorry! Two dogs! How can you cope? You must be devastated! I hope you will be able to enjoy the remaining life of them! Like others said, they don’t know and live by the day. We don’t, and that makes it hard!

I have done rescue work for over 30yrs a lot of the throw away dogs I have brought into my life have had health issues I have lost some pretty awesome dogs at very young ages. It doesn't get easier but I accept that and try very hard to give each and everyone the best care I can. To love them and make sure they are never abused that they only know love when they come into my house. My mom who also did animal rescue told me that the highest honor I can give an animal that I have lost is to get/take another and love them just as much. So that is what I do.
