I'm very relieved to hear that the foxtail is out! He must be feeling so much better. And I cannot WAIT to read about your upcoming road trip. Paws crossed that Paul settles into the car routine quickly!

Aww poor Paul! Glad it is all resolved now. Good luck with your travels....looking forward to hearing and seeing all about them. The latest pics were great. They are so cute together. :doug:

Re rusty hinge routine: Invest in a pair of noise-cancelling headphones? And a pair for Carbon, too!

You are so impressive, making that journey with two dogs! Can’t wait to follow your travels.

Not a bad idea, but a bit hard to use when driving. But we'll be fine. Carbon is the master of zen and I just keep listening to my podcasts. Every once in a while I howl along with Paul just because it's good for the soul. That seems to confuse him, though. Like he has a patent on sounding like a rusty hinge and I'm infringing on his legal rights. :D

I usually sing in the car. And then it struck me that me and Snowie - who is often vocalizing as well - might be sounding the same!!! Not a compliment to either of us!

Oh ouch! Just catching up on the Foxtail incident. Glad lovely Paul is sorted now, and has a nice, clear snoot.

Last day of mad prep before our big road trip kicks off tomorrow. The car is going to be VERY full, but it's all going to fit - and I swear I won't need to tie Paul's crate to the roof! :D

We're giving the castle hotel a pass as they charged rather exorbitant prices for the dogs and let me know that they weren't welcome in most areas, which sort of made the whole thing moot. Instead we are going with a cheap and cheerful chain hotel and a different type of destination that ought to be just as fun for the pups and for me.

Paul will be meeting his new family next weekend, so the countdown has begun for me enjoying final Bodeguero cuddles. I will be sad to say goodbye, but I have a very good feeling about the family and am excited that Paul is going to have a great life in the UK.

We had our last visit to the shelter on Thursday to return the dogs' loaned crates, get their final vet checks and say our goodbyes. It was all a bit emotional and I will miss seeing the nice ladies who work at the shelter, but I think the boys and I were happy to put that part of their lives behind them. No more shelter life for these two - it's sofa cuddles, cushy beds, silly toys and families of their own from here on out. :)

Bon voyage, Emily! I hope you’ve got that shoe horn handy to fit everything in the Tardis! If you need a stop just near the M25 just message me. We’re expecting lots of photos, of course - particularly of the loaded Tardis!

Thanks, @Granca , for the invite! And yes, I think a photo of the loaded Tardis is definitely in order. Now I just have to go load it...:D

That's a shame about the castle, but oh well, another adventure instead! The shelter must be happy that Paul has a home lined up?
