    Hi All

Just a quick hello and hopefully this forum will keep me busy with reading before we bring Woody home next Friday.

My partner and I have been looking for an older lab for the last 6 months, which feels like ages but needed to be the right decision and the right dog.

Woody is 3 years old and gorgeous. I just can wait for him to become part of the family.

Just hoping the cats do t throw a paddy now but will just take the intros slowly.

Looking forward to chatting to you all.

    PS: I’m south east Uk

    Sx

Welcome. I will be very interested in learning more about your older dog. Part of me is wondering whether I should have a second dog and if I did, it would be an older one.

Welcome to you from Mags, Tatze and Keir from Manchester UK

Tatze is my pet dog, a black Lab and she's five years old. Tatze means 'paw' in German.

Keir is my sixth Guide Dog puppy, a yellow Golden Retriever/Flatcoat cross and he's twelve months old.

    So Woody is Home.
Had a little bit of crying but he seems to be settling slowly. He’s starting to look at us when we say his name.
We have had sad eyes at times though

A late hello from me and Kipper (8 months old and full of joy) in Devon.
Sounds like you’re doing well helping Woody to settle in; all the best for a quiet night x

Well night 1 completed. Woody was great, a little whining when we went to bed and I could hear some shuffling around, even when I got up this morning no barking or anything. Just a big smile when I came down stairs.
We’ve been out and he was great. Getting the idea I won’t be pulled on the lead on the way to the park! It was empty so went to a little secluded area and had some small off lead time until I got scared he wouldn’t recall, no reason to think this he came back every time! So all good so far x
