Carbón's Big Adventure (aka Labratour Part IV)

Thinking of you today. Bittersweet.

But how lovely to have had a night to remember - everyone snug on the sofa!

 

So it only took the presence of 3 other dogs to tire out Paul? Now you know his secret

Do you think you could maybe tell his new family about us so we could get updates? I mean he’s an honorary lab surely?!

 

I am sure they will! They are a lovely couple, of course as long as all goes way today

Well, I have to confess to now being a "Bod convert" they are simply delicious dogs...perfectly formed and bright as buttons. They have quirky expressive little faces, and their characters are to coin @Emily_BabbelHund, full of sassiness .

Both Paul and Carbon settled in quickly, and instantly became firm friends with the Beanwood gang, fascinating watching the interplay between the 5 of them. Paul and Carbon both have lovely manners, not one growl, or misunderstanding. Again, I am bowled over by the resilience of these dogs from the continent. Emily has done the most amazing job with them, just incredible.

This is Paul, Carbon and Benson, after some play on the sofa and a lot of whale song by Benson, they all just fell asleep in a heap...

I so hope things go well for Paul today, but I guess Emily's heart will be breaking to say goodbye, particularly after such an intense and difficult journey.
I know you will look after her Kate and Marcus xx

 

It's going to be a tough day but a good one. This is the whole point - getting them happy to a new home. And even though I've had quite a few moments where I wanted to bonk him on the head to get a few minutes of (wee-free) peace and quiet in the past week, he's going to leave a big hole in my heart.

He's a wonderful little boy and a credit to dogdom.
