    Hello,
I have a 7 months old Labrador puppy. She eats Royal Canin which is the top most brand in India. She eats four times a day but still she does not put up weight. I consulted many doctors and all of them treated her differently. None could succeed. Finally I stoped treating her as it was very stressful for her to take medicines which honestly were of no use. She is just 22 pounds (10 kgs) now. Whenever she poops, it is a yellow semi solid poop. Just once she gave a normal poop. I have been trying for months on her but no results. She has gas problem and digestion problem. People around me along with the doctors suggest that I should give her curd more. So I give her curd a lot during a day. After reaching out to so many doctors and still no improvement, I have to ask for help in forum over here. Let me say. She is active and jumps around the house all day. Just the concern is that she never puts on the weight. Please help guys!!!

    Hi and welcome.
Could you explain what curd is please? If it is a cow (milk)based product it could actually that which is upsetting her stomach. Has you dog been wormed regularly? Has she been tested for parasites of the stomach? How much is she being fed? Has she had blood tests to see if she has medical problems ?if you have a young dog too much too eat it can also upset their tummies.

Do you feed her anything else but curd and kibble?

I appreciate from previous posts that vets in India don't appear as experienced - or have the same treatment methods available - as in other parts of the world, or I would be saying "your vet needs to sort this", but you've obviously done all you can there. I would definitely cut out the curd because, as @SwampDonkey says, that could be the problem as lots of dogs are intolerant to dairy products. It's also possible she's not tolerating an ingredient in the Royal Canin. I agree that she should be tested for parasites and have blood tests. If these show up clear then change to a different dog food with a different protein and different carbohydrate source. Even if it's not "as good" as RC, at the end of the day, the best food is the one that suits your dog.

She might have pancreatic insufficiency. She could have a bacterial infection of the lower bowel and need antibiotics. Also try changing her kibble to another brand.
