My dog did this (but getting more infrequent) for about 18 months.
As a pup she bit my legs all the time when I was walking. She tore my trousers and my legs were bitten and bleeding and so sore to begin with. At that time I always stopped walking if she bit me until she stopped and I trailed something behind me for her to bite. I encouraged this and she has always loved her tug toys so that these can be given to her when she is too pleased to see you

On the crazy jumping up and biting and nothing stops them - yes, she did that too - and yes, I cried sometimes and despaired. I thought I had the wrong dog and I was doing something really wrong. Some article said that if this happens then the only thing you can do is pick them up and hold them away from you and take them to their crate and shut them in. I know that this is like using the crate as a punishment but it saved my sanity and eventually she grew up and we got through it. Her jumping up was definitely due to tiredness and over stimulation so the crate thing made sense to me. In any case she just would not stop - if you made her sit or gave her a toy then she would sit, take the toy but then start jumping an biting straight after. If you looked back through this forum you would find some threads from me on this - 3 years ago.

Anyway she is a fantastical trainable dog. She is great at agility. She has done her KC gold citizen. She has gone to rally. She is great with other dogs and people. She is not good with my cat and I am careful around small children - always put her on the lead.
It 100 percent does not mean your dog is bad or mean.
    Good Luck

I have just put up a video in the video and pictures forum. It is a bit long but you can see there is hope as at the time the video was shot she still did the crazy jumping and biting at times. Partic see the end with Kamal Fenandez - a really great trainer (not just gundogs)
