    Hello,
I’m new to the site and a hopeful owner of a yellow lab puppy. There is a litter I’m looking at and I needed some advice on whether the puppies look more English lab or American lab. Can anyone help me out on how to share pictures on this site/in a post?
    Thanks!

    Hi @Stefanie,

It is very difficult to tell by looking at puppies what they will turn out like.

Looking at the dam and sire will give you a better idea, as well as interrogating the pedigrees. More show champions mean they are probably more "English" type.

If they have mixed English and American labradors well, they make take some physical characteristics from both lines.

Can I ask why you are looking specifically at Engish ( show bred labradors)? :)

Thanks for your reply! I received some more pictures of the parents, and I decided to continue my search. I want an English lab because I currently own a 9 year old English lab that I love. I like the look more than that of the slimmer American labs, and it seems (although I’m just generally speaking) that the English aren’t as high energy.

Hi Stefanie, welcome to the forum! Have a look in the technical & help board for information about photos. There are two ways to put them on the forum. One is to be a forum supporter and upload them directly to the forum using the image icon. The other is to free - just upload them to a photo hosting website (like imgur) and link to them in your posts using the link button in the bar above where you type your content.

Definitely look at the sire and dam - that will be your best bet for figuring out what your pup might turn out like. And welcome to the forum!
