Great going. The estimate for my recent cat surgery was structured the same way, except for the blood, likely because this was simpler surgery. It came out right smack in the middle of the estimate and with luck yours will too. You've worked very hard to make the best decision and find the best care for Nala so you should feel good about it.

Hoping to hear good things going forward.

    *** Latest Update 7/3 ***
Nala is still very energetic, but at times I don't want her to get too out of breath from playing around. Oh that girl BITES like crazy!! Loves her toys, yet she likes to stop, stare, and playful attack. WoW puppy razor teeth, I really don't remember it like that with my Black Lab years ago.
So we're opting to go with her Vet's colleague dr. G for the surgery instead of Dr. Concannon. In all honestly, we just can't get the money together. $6500 would take a little while, but I feel that every day that passes, could be hurtful for Nala.
Dr G. I'd more than capable as he perform this exact surgery very often. The only difference between the 2 would be initial 24 hour care. With having Dr G do the surgery, she will be transported to a 24hr hospital that we are familiar with soon after surgery is completed.
This is going to cost us $3500 tops including the 24hr care.
We've raised $260 through go fund me I believe. Some close friends of mine mailed us a donation of $600!
My Boss gave me $500. I did some side jobs (since he's gone at the river) and that brought me home $1000!!
So a total of $2360 so far and we're making the appointment soon as possible.
We're almost there, wish us luck and thanks again for everything!!!

***To Everyone who read read my story, whether you commented or not, I Thank You from the bottom of My Heart up to top!!!!
Our Babi Girl Nala is out of Surgery and is doing GREAT!!!***
The surgeon is confident is letting her come home in about 4 hours. Surgery went well, started to breathe on her own and was at a slow but steady pace as it should be, compared to earlier with rapid breathing like she had been running.
What a relief and the Happiest Monday I've ever had!!
Thanks again for your concerns for us and Nala, Cheers!

Dr.s orders are for her to keep calm for the next 10 days. Her cone (which she doesn't mind that much) and her stitches will come out in 14 days.
Trying to get this little girl to understand that she can only eat & drink, go potty, and then go back to her kennel to rest has been a little challenging. We talk to her, trying to explain what's going on, they are good listeners, but the attention span, HA, GOOD LUCK!
My wife watches her all day and both my kids help too. School hasn't started yet here in California.
I just can't wait till she's rested up, I wanna have some fun with my Lil Girl soon
