Have you got a Kong for her? You can fill it with her usual food and freeze it then it'll take her a while to munch the food out. Fiddly though for every day. I give my boy pigs ears but only one or 2 a week as a treat. Not sure what age they can have the hide chews from, but don't get the shoe type ones, my jack Russell got the lace bit stuck in her throat when she was young and it tore her skin - an expensive vets trip and a poorly dog for a while!

Do you mean dry food? You can fill the kong with kibble, use a bulldog clip to keep the bottom closed (cling flim will do but it's not great) and then fill the kong with stock or water (best stay away from ready made stocks as the salt content is sky high). Or, you can soak the kibble and it turns to sludge, then squish it in the kong and freeze it.

Top tip - egg cartons keep kongs upright in the freezer!

My order from the eco dog company arrived today (someone on here, might have been Jac, mentioned this company). I'm very happy with the dried venison products, including dried venison ears. I'd be happy to give these to a younger puppy under supervision (perhaps not a whole one until I'd seen effect on poo though). Very low in oils and fats, not at all greasy, and quite thin but chewy. I also ordered rawhide chews, claimed not to have any nasty stuff in it, and they look good too - but we've yet to try these.

Pizzles are disgusting but considered a great delicacy here by His Furriness. They're a great, low fat, safe chew.

Yup, pizzles are a top chew, Charlie loves them. And I don't worry about him having them.

Just had a look at the eco dog company site... and have ordered a few chews! Jackie, pizzles are beef and you'll find a description on there - not that we've tried them yet. Trouble is, I'm now wondering how to justify the expense of the tweed collar in green. It would look great on Brew. *sigh* I think I might have just found what I want for Christmas...
