hi im new to this site so hope im doing this right ..I have a 5 month old puppy who is aggressive for no reason he has just bitten my 4 yr old grandson for no reason ..he growls for no reason and has gone for me and my husband ,,most of the time hes lovely but there is a big problem with him I don't know what to do ...im so upset and scared I will have to give him up ...hes not ill been vet checked been to puppy classess plays lovely with other dogs ..please help ..hes a shih Tzu ..thankyou
Hi there and welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear you are dealing with this - there are two possibilities, one is that it is actual aggression the other is that it is misplaced play. Your best move at this point is to contact a behaviourist who uses positive reinforcement training methods and to have him assessed. You might also find this article of interest.
