I am so sorry. having been a vet nurse I know what you and the vet went through, you were with your pup, your arms around him, he will not have known a thing, but so tragic that one so young had to go. In his brief life he knew love and happiness, so although short, it was a life well lived. He will never be forgotten.

Run free Kobe have lots of fun now free from pain. I hope if I ever have to go through putting my dogs to sleep I will be as loving as you were to Kobe, hugging him the whole time, and my dog will know how loved he is.

I may be slightly crying now.:(

Oh my heart aches for you. We had to put our sweet 9 week old Luna down on July 9. We only had her a week, but loved her so much. She had a rare birth defect (Persistent Right Aortic Arch - where the aorta flipped the wrong way around her esophagus and kept food from getting down to her stomach.) We were devastated to find out her "illness" wasn't something easily treatable when we went to the vet. We still miss her so much and even though I know we made the best decision for her so she wouldn't have to suffer, I still felt guilty. I can't imagine having people making you feel worse. It's painful enough to think about losing a pet. We were able to adopt her brother and it has helped us heal, but we still miss her. I hope you can feel comforted and try again with a better outcome. Hugs.

What a hideous thing you have had to go through I think you have made a very brave decision and what sounds like the kindest thing you could have done. Heartfelt sympathy for you and your family xx
