    Hi
I’m new here , Malaika our 17 week old Lab is the first Labrador we’ve actually owned we used to Breed and show Tibetan Spaniels I lost my last girl in October 2017 and after looking after my husbands employers Labs for the last 30 years we came to know and love the Breed well and decided our new puppy had to be a Black Lab so we sought out a suitable breeder and we now have the most gorgeous black girl that we are hoping to show .

    Hi Pippa
That’s if we ever get her there she has Cheyletiella. Mite and I’m at my wits end she came with it but we didn’t realise until she went for her second Jab and asked the vet what it was I knew it was some sort of my but not what it was My Tibetans never got anything like that , she has been treated with spray on frontline , I’ve used powder on her she’s now on prinovox and that’s really not working I washed her bedding several time I’ve sprayed with products but I can’t take the carpet out and put it in the washing machine I’ve bathed her .
Don’t know where we go from here but she has all bate patches where she’s been biting and scratching if anyone knows of anything that will deal with this horrible mite please let me know xxx

Hi Mary, sorry to hear that, that is really bad luck. What did your vet recommend and did they tell you how long you would need to treat for in order to clear up the infestation? Or if having your carpets treated might be a good idea?

    Hi

    Hi Pippa
We have tried spray on front line that didn’t work the prinovox that isn’t working I’ve used powder that isn’t working I’m now bathing her 3very other day with Hibiscrub it’s driving us mad because we can’t seem to get rid of it , I’m having my carpets cleaned and the firm do7ng it will treat for mite so hopefully that will help
