Need help with wound

    Guys im new here and need help with my 4 month old lab. Some how today he completely took the top layer of skin off his belly. It doesnt bleed but there is no skin just raw meat. It about size of egg and dont know what to do. There is nothing there to stitch so what can a vet do?Any help is appreciated.

    You need to take him to the vet.

    I agree with Stew, the vet will advise, at the very least they will apply a dressing. A raw patch like that will be very vulnerable to infection.
    Good luck with helping it heal.

    You don't want him to get an infection. Take him to the vet as soon as possible. Please let us know how he is getting on.

    Take him to the vet. They have specialist dressings to help promote healing whilst keeping the wound clean and free from infection. They will also need to assess the wound to determine risk of infection.
