So my puppy is now 18 weeks old and shes had the odd yellow crusty scab here and there since 5 weeks ago and occasional red bumps but nothing too serious. I've had labs and know theyre prone to skin allergies but tonight i found these really red rashes and pimple underneath her armpits. Shes been scratching and aggravating both sides. Any otc meds I can use or should I just take her to the vet in the morning? Im posting pictures of it as well https://imgur.com/a/i1Kk2wx
Hi there, I'm sorry to hear your puppy has been itchy. I'm all for better safe than sorry, so I would pop over to the vet for a check up, especially given that she's so young and it seems to be bothering her. Let us know how she gets along!
My puppy had similar problem, it was caused by food (kibble) based on chicken. Unfortunately 95% of puppy food is chicken based. After switching to raw(barf) and fish (Fish4Dogs) kibble it`s fine.
Same here. Rashes on his belly and under armpits, he would scratch his ears, bite his legs. It went away after switching to fish kibble.
