Tonight we said goodbye to our 14 year old lab Junior. Junior was a rescued at 6 months old from a family that was friends with my sister who didn't know what to do with a Labrador puppy so they left him locked in a bathroom most of the time. Despite lots of socialization issues that took years to work through, Junior was a great boy who loved his family deeply. He is off to join his "mentor" Sam (another black lab) and his special buddy Audrey (our daughter who passed away at age 4).

Sorry for your loss. He looks like a special and gentle soul. Love from me and Joy, little small and sweet black lab.

It is nearly a year since I lost my beloved Lab and he looked very much like Junior, so I can feel your pain of loss. I am so sorry, it never gets easier. He obviously had a wonderful life with you and lived to a grand age x

Condolences from me. What a lucky lad Junior was, saved from a bathroom prison to a life of love.
