My 3 month lab is like a monster eating, he eats 135gr of kibble in like 2 min or less. What can I do to make him to eat more slowly?

We dont use a food bowl at all. Most of his kibble gets used for training and games. The rest gets fed out of food dispensing toys like a kong, kong wobbler or treat ball.

We did also get a slow feed bowl, but we prefer it this way!

We put 1/3 to 1/2 in a slow feeder then use the rest as ‘treats’. Maybe do a little training. If he goes to his mat or crate, scatter a small amount in there as a reward. Always handy to have some nearby if he’s picked up something he shouldn’t have.

It’s more time consuming than just dumping it in a bowl but I think it keeps his little mind active as he is ‘working’ for his meal for longer. Plus it’s fun.

I also use some as trainning rewards but sometimes I work out of town and he stays with my parents and my brother, and they don't have the pacience to take time trainning, in that times I only eats from the bowl.

Another possibility is to scatter the food on the floor.

2 minutes??? So you want to say your dog is eating too slow :):)??? I think Tora never spent so much time eating :):). She is like magician, now you see it...now you don`t see it :D.

I was worried about the same thing at the begging but there is no point or help ( at least this is my opinion).
More important is to not feed 20-30 minutes before and after walk/running...

I said 2 min but I think one minute is what he need to eat all food, at this age could not have problem but when he gets older I'm afraid that eating so fast could bring problems like stomach torcion or others... and he eats and starts to run and play.
