    Hi,

I was wondering if my lab's growth is fine. He had a growth spurt and grew very quickly, but since last 1.5-2 months we haven't noticed much growth.

He seems almost of the same size as he was 1.5 months ago.

Is his size normal for a nine month old doggo?

Till what age should we expect full growth?

    Thanks a lot!

Hi there, and welcome to the forum :).

At nine months, your lab will have completed much of his growth, there will be some filling out, and maybe a little bit more height, but not much, over the next few months. Have a look at this growth article for more information and at our puppy weight thread There is a huge variation between pups of the same age!

    Thank you!

I read the article, it was really good.

I wish that my lab grows very tall, is there anything specific I can do?

Don't worry, your pup is completely normal. They're all different and grow at different rates. Ash stopped growing in height at 7mths, just filled out a little since, Lucan was still growing height wise at 12mths.

Pick a pup from tall parents, but it is a little late for that, and it doesn't always work.

Tilly's dad was a tall Field Trial Champion, and her mom was a short Master Hunter. Tilly is short, but doesn't have a hunting bone in her body. Cooper's parents were both tall lean dogs with hunting titles. Cooper is very much like them in size and disposition.
