Hello I am happy to be part of this I am in need of help for puppy he has stopped responding to all commands we have taught him. He gets attention all the time and he has many chew training toys that we play with him. I am stay at home Mom I am with him a lot but today he almost got hit by a car running away. Thanks

We have not found anyone we trust to help us. We’re going to be fixing him next week would that be one of the reasons why Zeus is doing this. Thanks
If you mean you're going to have Zeus neutered I think it's unlikely that it will make any difference to his behaviour. Perhaps go back to basics with your recall training, some dogs go through phases of forgetting what they've learned. Maybe you could get hold of the book Total Recall?
What do you do to capture pup attention as you approach training session....... Currently if you tell your pup to sit....and pup does not obey....what do you do ?
Sounds like it is time to go back to basics for a while and place the puppy back on 20 or 40 foot leads to avoid his running away and getting hit by a car. Or get a fence so that when he runs away he can't be hit by a car - OR both. An eleven month old Lab is still a puppy - well maybe a teenager. Testing boundaries is a usual stage that many of them will go through and the only real answer is to go back to basics. We are having to do this with our 16 month old Cain who is ignoring recall and in fact, is leading 15 week old Roamin just out of our reach to avoid us ending their play time when outside. For the time being, until we can remind Cain that coming back to us is just as fun as leading Roamin' in the other direction, they are only allowed to play in the house. good luck
His is a good dog I am separating him from other dogs we have so can work on few things and we understand his young has lot to learn. We have lot of acres for him run and play we interact with him but does not respond to much to us lately. I have start to walk away to the house sometimes it works sometimes he takes off running across street to neighbors dogs and their pond. He is on a long leash at this time trying train stop pulling and to walk with me. I am happy to say that now I have gotten his attention he is starting to respond to me. It’s going be a long road I think but we love him a lot and that is what matters. Have decided buy a chest harness to help control him and I am not going use a shock collar on him. Thanks everyone
