Lincoln loves his naps. This is our typical day.
Up by 4am. (I'm a morning person). Take the dogs out to potty.
Breakfast at 5am. They usually play for awhile . Lincoln naps from 6 to 8am.
(Other two nap along with him) Then out to potty.
Around 9am we do a little training then go for a walk. After out to potty. Then he usually naps again from 10 am to Noon.
(All of his naps take place on the sofa or recliner). I don't force him to nap he does it on his own.
After nap is out to potty. If it's warm they play outside a bit.
We usually then do another walk and play his favorite game "Sniff out the treat". After out to potty. He usually naps from 2pm to 4.
After out to potty. Dinner at 5pm. Sometimes they'll play a little .
He usually naps from 6pm right up until bedtime at 8:30. Out to potty just before. He sleeps all through the night without a peep. Has since we got him at 9 weeks old.
    He's very bouncy,active and energetic.
Is it normal for a puppy to nap this much?

Hi @Jade growing is tiring work. Puppies sleep a lot.

Even some adult dogs will sleep a lot if they are not mentally stimulated. They wait for their handlers to join them in playing and training.orjust sitting at a new spot and calmly watching the world go by.

Aim for 30 minutes of training per day at the age of 6 months. Break that total into short sessions of 2 to 3 minutes, and then play with your pup. Then if she is tired let her nap.

Yes very normal. Lots of brain development and growth is happening whilst unused pathways are pruned... and it needs lots of naps to prune those synapses... :)

Thank you so much. Yes, I forgot to mention we do several short training sessions daily.
