hello , my lab is a female one year 4 months old . She is heavily panting during day time fully and drinks water every half an hour . The panting even shakes her entire body . Is this unusual ? she stays indoor with us and not under direct sun . can any one please let me know if your doggie has the same panting ? I am planning to take her to a vet soon though

Welcome, @Bindu :). Panting is a sign of distress/pain. Drinking water every 30mins sounds excessive. You should take her to a vet immediately, and not wait.

You mention that she is not in direct sun, are you based in a hot country then? Obviously panting is a way that dogs cool down, but this does sound like there is a bit more to it.

Thank you Beanwood. Yes I live in India where the temperature is 80-85F or above . Yesterday I consulted one of the vets and was asked to do a thyroid test for her . Today I am consulting with one more vet and decide . Will share the details soon
