Re: Poppy and the indestructable toy!!!!! Ooops! Poor Poppy. What about lots of layers of newspaper with bits of kibble hidden in it "pass the parcel" style? Guaranteed to make a mess ;D but at least it is cheap.
Re: Poppy and the indestructable toy!!!!! Kitchen roll tubes are good as well Lois ......I Had a really tough long one that came out of a roll of lining paper I think and I used to 'saw' Bits off it with the electric kitchen knife, kept dexter happy ...I'd forgotten I did that ...seems ages ago now
Re: Poppy and the indestructable toy!!!!! Oooooooooooo - that newspaper idea sound like awesome fun!!!! £25 eaten.... In Australia we have plastic notes and, if it happened here, at least there'd be some chance of seeing it again....

Re: Poppy and the indestructable toy!!!!! when Riley was a puppy we used to hide kibble under plastic cups so he had to find it my OH teaches Riley tricks in the mornings, he's been trying to get him to play dead the last week you could also do some of the mat based obedience or getting her to get in a box just a few thoughts, good luck and I hope Poppy feels better soon
Re: Poppy and the indestructable toy!!!!! Do you use a clicker? If so, you could teach her all sorts of in the house manners with her hardly moving. That way, you get a return for all the time you put in too, if the treats are good enough, I reckon most dogs think clicker training is great. So you could teach: go to bed, stay on mat, sit before a door opens, come and sit by your left hand side, your right hand side, and so on. If you've done all that, or you really want just games, here is something I just started on yesterday (and still struggling with the first stage! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yG12rqPaIdc There are a few more things that look worth trying on this channel. The reason I'm doing this is because I'm hoping it will help with Charlie's constant nicking of things! But even if it doesn't, it's good fun...not sure we'll get to the end...: : :
