My puppy is 7 weeks and 6 days. When I got her she was always licking her genitals. We had set her first vet appointment which was 3 days after she came home. The vet has diagnosed crystals in her urine. She has antibiotics for the next 10 days and others. Has anyone ever had a puppy that young with crystals and how bad will it get? The vet is doing a double check with Nutrition control if we can switch a young puppy like this to special food to help. Very worried new owner.

Wow, have a 11 week old lab pup with same thing. Constantly trying to urinate and when she does it is blood tinged. Been on Amox for a week and was switched to another antibiotic yesterday. Also on prescription urinary diet. No fun when trying to housebreak or for that matter any training

Hi. Hope it will get better. I was very lucky, my lab had medications for ten days, and she drank a lot of water. On her last check the vet said she was cleared, very lucky. But no bathroom issues when she had crystals. Maybe just a mild case, but I do not know I am not a vet.
