The weather where we live is cold and dry right now. My eight month old puppy has developed very dry and cracked paw pads as a result of the temperature change which has resulted in him licking them excessively. What do you recommend to safely moisturize and repair his poor paws?

Musher secret is very good I've used it on my dogs paws and it helps with dry cracks and splits in his pads

I found Bag Balm great for chapped dry paws.

    Hi @AceMan

Your dog might be a candidate for wearing boots outside. Salt and ice are rough on paws. When the dog comes inside excessive licking of the paws worsens the problem.

We've used Mushers Secret over the years in the cold and heat. Offers great protection from all of the elements and keeps paws from cracking.
