Hi everyone, You are my last hope. I have a 8 month old lab who refuses to be potty trained. He can go all night without peeing in his kennel but if I put him in the kennel during the day I will come home to a kennel full of pee and a dog who stinks to high heaven. It doesn't seem to matter whether I leave him in the kennel for a couple of hours or all day, he still pees there. I take him out at least once every two hours when I am home, but he may come right back in and pee in the crate. I even bought a new pan for the kennel thinking the other one had absorbed the smell and encouraged him to pee there but that didn't help. He has gotten better about letting me know when he needs to go out when he is not in the kennel but I work during the day and have to leave him in his crate. He should be able to hold it longer by now. I am at my wits end and seriously considering whether I can keep him. My house is starting to smell like pee. Oh, and we took him to the vet and we changed his food per her suggestion but physically he is fine. Thanks for any suggestions. I want to have a dog we can love but it is hard when he constantly smells like pee. Ruth
