Re: Moxon lead I was horrified to read on the amazon.de website one of the reviews saying the Moxon lead i bought was a good lead for teaching a big, strong dog that pulls on the lead to walk to heel I wrote a very firm review, saying it is an excellent lead, but only for dogs that already walk well to heel, and that to use it otherwise is dangerous!
Re: Moxon lead Yeah Barbara. We have a purple collar and lead for Lilly because people could never tell if she was a girl or boy, and that really got on my nerves (it shouldn't because how are they supposed to know, but it just did) Lol

Re: Moxon lead I really like the look of these moxon leads, it could be a christmas present for puzzle. But only if she learns to walk nicley, some days she is brilliant others she is a lunatic, but we are slowly getting there. They look very smart and soft on the hand

[/quote] I couldn't agree more with this - when I was migrating away from the harness that was giving me so many problems, and Charlie still hated the flat collar (well, he still does), a slip lead was all that worked for us. But he was still lunging from time to time and I honestly had nightmares about the damage a slip lead could do and spent a huge amount of time being ready to restrain him with my hands. It's just too easy to forget that slip leads have a choke action. They would have been completely unsuitable in the early days when I was bumbling through teaching a puppy to walk on a lead, although no doubt safer in the hands of the competent!
