I hate to even be posting this. We bought our young girls a puppy for Christmas and they aren’t adjusting well at all. They are terrified of him and don’t want to be around him at all. It’s caused so much chaos and it’s not fair to him and our daughters are not ready for a puppy. Trying to find him a good home where kids aren’t afraid of puppies.. this was our first puppy. Our girls are not used to dogs at all. It was poor judgment on our part to get him not knowing if they would be ready
Hi there, I am so sorry to hear that you are struggling with your new puppy. The first few days with a new puppy can be very tough. With a very young puppy, the usual first step is to call the breeder. Good breeders are very committed to the welfare of their puppies and will always take back a puppy if the new owners cannot cope. They normally have a waiting list of approved families and will be able to find a new home for your puppy with the minimum disruption.
