We now have a 9week lab pup , she is in the utility and is going to bed ok around 10.30/11 and lasting until 2 or 3am then howls. She is let out and put back to bed, then goes to maybe 4 , take her out then howls on going back to bed. With our other lab she was 13weeks when we got her and happy to go off to her bed and isnt one for fussing, with having another lab , pup wants to get into Olives bed or be with Olive to sleep in day or play. So when puppy Pearl wakes she is looking for Olive to play. Pearl more of a whiny fussing pup. I have tried giving her a kong in the day to be in her pen/bed but she howls. Looking at other posts im guessing quite a bit longer for sleepless nights yet.
Hi @Olive&Pearl Although it is not a necessity, I think you would be better off to teach your puppy to love to sleep in a crate. It would give your older dog some respite from the puppy. Here is an excellent article on crate training. https://thehappypuppysite.com/crate-training-a-puppy/
