    Hello there

It’s time to buy a new bed, but I’m not sure what to go for.
Bonnie is now 17 months, fully grown, but small black lab @ 24kg.

Up until now she’s been in her crate with a padded typical oval shaped bed. She likes it, but I don’t because I find it really difficult to clean. The whole thing has to go in the washing machine and it takes 2 days to dry in this cold weather, it’s now stinky.
We’re gradually going to ditch the crate over the next few weeks and I want her to have a nice new bed to love.
I’m thinking about a traditional hard bed, but with a soft insert that can be washed more easily??
Any advice please on what your lovely doggies sleep in?
Or maybe a big pillow type, that has a removable cover for easy washing. But do they like the up edges to rest their heads on and feel cosy like a traditional bed, I also think they might stop drafts a bit more?
    Any tips please

Check out HiK9 beds, my two love theirs. They're raised flat beds that you can put all sorts of covers/cushions on and are so easy to wash and clean.

Thanks, they look good! Do they curl up on them?

Yes they curl up, sometimes on their own beds but most times both on one.

Hi we love 3peaks beds, they have a wipe clean cover and we always put a snugly blanket over them anyway for our girl to sleep on, you can then just wash the blanket when needed. They have sides on and our pup curls up in hers

We use vet bed in the crate, on top of a sturdy mattress that fits snugly in the crate. The vet bed is the only thing that he hasnt destroyed and it is easily washable. It does seem to shed fluff though. Hopefully that settles down in a few washes.

    Woody has this bed

He loves it and and so does my sister's lab when we visit! Like you say he loves resting his head on the side.

It is covered in a blanket to keep clean as the first one I bought didnt survive my 9kg capacity washing machine.

I do also have a cushion when we are travelling as it's just easier to take the cover off.
